Beth Anderson of Gladstone, Michigan likes to use vintage earrings and necklace pieces in her pendants. She got her start in jewelry making by designing a necklace for her daughter's wedding, using an earring of her mother's that she had always admired as a child. Now it has turned into her niche! Sara Beck
This is Sara Beck's third year at the UP Made Artist Market. Born and raised in Escanaba MI, Sara grew up in a musical family; her first "priority" in life is singing. She has been teaching private voice lessons for over 17 years and is a youth choir director at her church.
Sara began beading when a friend's family opened a bead store in town. Her hobby got going even more when the men's clothing store she worked at began selling women's clothes; she decided that those clothes needed accessories! Since then she has participated at local art fairs and makes jewelry for friends and family.

Adrienne Bozic divides her time between her work as a plant
ecologist, where she is currently studying rare plants of
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and as an artist. Jewelry is
currently her primary creative outlet, and nature is the wellspring from which she derives creativity, vision, and resources. Adrienne draws much inspiration from the forest, rocks, and waters of the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior. All of her work incorporates natural metals,stones, glass and other materials.
Her extensive travels, wanderlust and imagination help her to create a diversity of styles which are sure to speak to everyone. Custom pieces and matching accessories available.
Mindy Flanigan
Beading Frenzy
Mindy grew up in Marquette, Michigan, the daughter of a very creative mother who has been Mindy's inspiration and encouragement. She has been creating jewelry for seven years. She is mostly self taught but attends as many workshops as possible, finding there is always more to learn.
The average bracelet sold in a department store is 7.5", but Mindy makes many of her bracelets smaller and larger, using a wide variety and beads and colors for every taste and size. Most of her jewelry is strung or wire wrapped. Glass, cat's eye, gemstone, Swarovski Crystal, Czech glass, freshwater pearls, millifiori and lamp work beads are among her - and her customers' - favorites!

Diane Hartwick
Diane is not only a multi-talented crafter, but she is one of the web designers of this site! Her contribution to the market includes one-of-a-kind beaded jewelry, candles, and in addition, she is an accomplished seamstress. Diane's adorable Raggedy Anne Dolls come in huggable sets or as a single doll designed as a door draft dodger. She offers a variety of fabric media products in the market. As a teen she started crafing and never quit. She and her husband, Roy, reside in the Bruce Crossing area of the UP. Diane is also an active member of the Community Women's Group.

Sherry Norback
Sherry enjoys creating necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Sherry jumps right in to experiment with new materials and jewelry crafting techniques. Sherry loves to take pictures and her photograph of the Historic Covington School was selected for the UP Made Artist Market logo and the inspiration for the new sign. A variety of her photographs are for sale in the market in the form of note cards. Sherry bakes great bread and yummy treats for our frequent fund raising bake sales. She resides in Watton Mi. with her husband Art, and is an active member of the Community Women's Group.

Jen Varecha
Jen has added a new variety of jewelry to the artist market this year and we are happy to welcome her and her many talents! She creates functional, wearable and decorative art from a multitude of mediums including, but not limited to, fiber and glass.
As a glass artist she works in free-form fused, slumped, and painted glass along with wire wrapped jewelry. Her pieces are unique and indicative of her artistic abilities.
Jen and her husband Rick, a wood carver and photographer, relocated to the Upper Peninsula after purchasing the Mountain View Lodges and Gallery in Silver City, Mi.
